We were appointed in July 2022 to carry out a rear ground floor extension and full house refurbishment.

At ground floor level, our clients were keen to create a spacious family kitchen diner. The new rear extension comprises a pair of split volumes - a flat roof over the dining area and a soaring vaulted roof over the kitchen leading to an East facing clerestory rooflight to capture morning sunlight.

Across the carefully detailed extension exterior, simple composite cladding has been used playfully with different bonding patterns differentiating aspects of the facade. A brickwork plinth ties back to the tones of the existing house.

Internally the walls are finished in natural Clayworks plaster.

The project completed in July 2024.
